Geneva Watch Days 2023: Urwerk Only Piece

There are different definitions of watchmaking art. And Urwerk with its futuristic horological objects takes its rightful place in the pantheon of neoclassical disrupters of conventional watchmaking design.

The Urwerk's Space-Time Blade is a timepiece created for the Only Watch auction that will take place on November 5. The visual reference is as clear as the starry skies of Tatooine. And the mechanical filling is indistinguishable from magic.

The glass capsule of 167cm stands on a bronze pedestal. The glass column illuminates not only the hours, minutes, and seconds but also kilometres showing the Earth spinning.

The horological object is a collaboration of Urwerk with Dalibor Farny, who's famous for using Nixie tubes to produce steampunk clocks.
