Very Clever Moon Indication by Ferdinand Berthoud

Never easy to revive a historic name of watchmaking and I have to say that I do appreciate how this is being done by the team of Ferdinand Berthoud since a few years and the presentation of the FB1 tourbillon chronometer.

Naturally at first they had presented variations of this initial timepiece, but they managed to bring meaningful evolutions with some clever technical development. The model introduced at this year's Baselworld definitely is one of them with a very interesting interpretation of the moon complication. Instead of showing a simple moon phase, they went down a different route measuring the time until the next full or new moon.

This fits very well with the history and legacy of Ferdinand Berthoud, meaning the scientific dimension of his work.

Enjoy & Viva Watchmaking
