Focus On The Colorful MB&F LM1 Silberstein

Red, blue, yellow and pyramides, cubes and spheres, French interior designer Alain Silberstein is well known in watchmaking for having worked almost exclusively with these colors and shapes to create colorful and disruptive watches. Max Büsser, MB&F founder and Creative director, is great fan of Silberstein’s work. Because of that, the designer could already reinterpret a MB&F watch previously that became the HM2.2 “Black box”.

It is the first time that the Legacy Machine 1 is modified in such proportions. And it was made with such an exquisite taste that it created an almost new identity to the model. Basically ultra traditional and in terms of mechanic and finishings – and the caliber remained unchanged, meaning just superb -, the LM1 has become edgy, radical also and clearly playful. In other words, such a perfect match between styles, influences, mechanic, technology and audacity was not expected and is just a success. What really gathers Büsser’s and Silberstein approaches are certainly a deep love for beauty and perfection, as well as a strong desire to break rules but with panache. When they work together, be prepared to be challenged and surprised in order to open new doors to what high-end watchmaking can be.
