Jean-Claude Biver, Head of Watchmaking of LVMH, talks business

Jean-Claude Biver - 65 years old - is a figure of the swiss watchmaking industry as he relaunched Blancpain in 1982, developed Omega significantly afterwards and leads Hublot since 2004, today as its President. Since January, he is above all heading the watchmaking division of the luxury’s giant LVMH. Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith watches’ brands belong to that pole. We interviewed him about his role and mission, which are "being a patriarch who inspires people from the brands". We also spoke about the a potential smart watch, the sudden end of the high-end segment at TAG Heuer and also perspectives for 2015. Regarding the impact and influence Biver had and still has on the industry, we kept the interview, almost, in its entirety.
