What to think about watches certifications and the 10 years of the FQF

The FQF Certification is one of the most demanding in watchmaking as its protocole includes 5 different tests. Every aspect of the watch, which includes the look and the performances, is analyzed. This label, which headquarter is in Fleurier, a little town of the Swiss Jura mountain, is today 10 years old. Parmigiani Fleurier, Chopard and Bovet created it in order to establish a high standard forindustrial productions. We attended the event during which a new deparment was presented: the FQF-Lab. The FQF-Lab is actually a series of machines and testers that external brands can have access to in order to realize special controls and analysis. As Omega recently also presented a new certification, we decided to go deeper in what does a watch certification mean today.
