Introducing: Hublot novelties

Watches & Wonders 2023

Ricardo Guadalupe CEO of Hublot unveils the brand's latest novelties including a super light watch and an NFT collaboration.

The new 43 mm Big Bang full carbon integrated tourbillon is made with a texalium upper layer presenting a new level of technical achievements of the brand. The watch has a 72-hours power reserve, is water resistant to 30 meters, and feels almost weightless on the wrist. However, the finishing of the case might raise some questions.

In 2023 Hublot also pushes the boundaries with the new NFT collaboration with the famous Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. He's known for his "Superflat" aesthetics and bright colours, and his works are part of the MoMA collection. In 2008 one of his artworks "My Lonesome Cowboy", inspired by an Andy Warhol film, was sold at Sotheby's for US$15.2m.

It is not the first collaboration of Murakami with Hublot. This time the artist designed for the brand 13 unique timepieces with the tradable NTF tokens in a form of a multicolored flower. Twelve watches have been sold online in minutes. And the 13th piece will only be available for purchase for the person, who manages to collect all 12 NFT tokens that came with the first dozen of watches. Sounds like a big challenge, but our guess is that the winner will be revealed in no time.
