Catching Up With Bernard Lederer

Geneva Watch Week 2022

We had the pleasure of meeting Bernhard Lederer at the beginning of this month at the AHCI exhibition in Geneva. He showed us two interesting watches.

One of them is an amagnetic watch that can resist up to 100'000 gauss and emits very low sound which is made for divers going for demining missions.

If their watch would be magnetized and their sound too loud that could explode the see mines which are often equipped with microphone and very sensitive to magnetism as Bernhard Lederer informed us. He developed this watch for the German army.

The other watch presented is the famous Centre Impulse Chronometer also called CIC which is, as Bernhard Lederer explained to us, the first marine chronometer that you do not need to carry anymore in a cardiac box, because it is very choc resistant and can be turned is any directions you can now carry it on your wrist.

As you probably know that watch won a GPHG in 2021.

We hope you will enjoy our video explaining those two watches… and VIVA WATCHMAKING :-)
