Andersen Genève at the AHCI 2022

Geneva Watch Week 2022

We had the pleasure of meeting Mr Svend Andersen co-founder of the AHCI at the event organised by them at begin of April 2022 in parallel to Watches & Wonders. Andersen was once nicknamed "The watchmaker of the impossible" since he set off and managed to build a couple of what he called Bottle Clocks.

We were shown two of his timepieces, the first being a worldtimer, one of Andersen specialities since he has been making them since 1989.

These models have few interesting novelties, with an aquamarine setted bezel and a dial is made in 21 carat blue gold.

On the back of the timepiece under a customisable hunter case-back, you can find a beautifully decorated movement with another 21 carat blue gold piece, this time being the rotor, making the winding especially efficient.

Svend Andersen also presented an interesting jumping hour with a dial at 6 o'clock the size of a traditional second sub-dial but in this case indicating the minutes. All this on an elegant 21 carat blue gold dial beautifully decorated on an antique guilloché machine.

Enjoy and Viva Watchmaking!
