UNBOXING - The Blausée Project by Artisans de Genève

Customized Rolex Daytona.

In Today’s video, we are starting our new UNBOXING season with as always some pretty crazy and original timepiece.

In this episode, we will be talking modified Rolexes, and we know that some of you guys are not really into these kinds of things, and there is the clan of “you can’t touch this” vs those a bit more open on the idea.

Les Artisans de Genève, don’t sell watches, but a customization service, meaning that as a client you’re the one providing the watch which will be customized and this following your own criteria; style, colors, mechanical demands and more.

They have been doing this for more or less ten years and the most visible part of their creation or to be more precise co-creation with their clients concerns Rolex watches.

The base of this timepiece is a Rolex Daytona, an 116520 to be accurate, and a multitude of changes have been made; both esthetics and mechanical.

The main change is transforming the original automatic movement to a hand-wound one and therefore the barrel ratchet is unique and has been specially developed for this timepiece which offers 72 hours of power reserve. You can easily grasp the serious skeletonization which was undertaken on this 4130 movement thanks to the sapphire case back.

We seriously looking forward to your comments ;)

All the very best and Viva Watchmaking!
