1st Watchmaking Movie Ever Made with Longines

In the above video report, we’re bringing to you something very unique with was is most probably the very first corporate movie ever produced by a watch brand. This film presents the skills and craft found at Longines at the beginning of the 20th century, as some of the sequences date as early as 1908. This film was found a few years ago in a Swiss cinema and after an extensive restoration work down by the Licht Spiel institute of Bern it has now been shown for the first time here in Switzerland.

A big thanks to Longines to have shared this piece of watchmaking history with us and for those traveling to Switzerland, you will also be able to see this movie at the brand’s museum in St Imier.

Below please find the full extended version of 12’, but this version doesn’t feature any commentary neither music, nevertheless an incredible audiovisual archive.
