HYT New Products And News At Baselworld 2016

HYT talked the language of gold to create a new version of the H1 entirely made out of red gold. Heavy and shiny, its look pays some kind of tribute to the "bling" style of the 90's. But the H1 Full Gold is not only about precious metal. It also integrates the new black liquid for a clear indication of the time. In addition, HYT added a layer of luminescent material under the round capillary. For the first time then, time is clearly readable in the dark.

The second new product is the H1 Skull "Bad Boy". All black, this "watch vanitas" presents a skull made out of damascus steel. This unusual kind of alloy is in fact composed of two layers of distinct kinds of steel that are heated and bended randomly several time until they are intricately interweaved. The challenge is then to manufacture the bloc of material as the two kinds of metal have different physical features. The tools must be then well operated to get the right result. And as a metaphor of death, it comes in all black.

Vincent Perriard, CEO of HYT, also informed us that the recent 23 millions Swiss francs increase of capital will participate to develop a smaller caliber. It will allow the realization of women watches. In parallel, the brand develops its visibility and especially thanks to the partnership with the Alinghi Swiss sailing team. As usual, 2016 will be an intense year for HYT.
