Jaquet Droz: A Smart Métiers D’Art Workshop

Jaquet Droz has been in possession of its own métiers d’art workshop for half a decade now. Its craftsmen master several techniques, including unusual ones such as quail egg mosaic and paillonné enamel. Having these skills internally helps the brand offer a large range of decorative watches. But it helps also in terms of creativity as managers, designers, and craftsmen exchange regularly. This creates a positive environment and opens new perspectives.

Jaquet Droz is also not focused exclusively on the past with its métiers d’art, but works on regularly integrating modern influences in technique and style. Christian Lattmann, vice-president of Jaquet Droz, explains in detail the way this rare workshop works.
