Jaeger-LeCoultre, Polo and naturally the Reverso

There is a very close tie between Jaeger-LeCoultre and the world of polo, since it was this brand who was behind what became one of the most iconic watches of all time, the Reverso. It was created in 1931 thanks to the special request of being able to wear it during polo games, a rather physical sport where close contact with ball, players, and horses happens frequently. The reversible element of the watch case enabled it to protect the watch face at a time when strong sapphire crystal was not yet in use.

In London to present the new Jaeger-LeCoultre flagship boutique, we took the opportunity to see for ourselves in real what polo is all about at the very fancy Gold Cup held at Cowdray.
