La Montre Hermes New Watches at Baselworld 2015

Hermès Goes Ultra-Thin With The Slim Collection. Thin, pure watches are always the most difficult to create as they are minimalistic; they leave no place for anything to hide. Hermès succeeded in creating a great classic with the Slim collection, a totally new line with a harmonious and creative new case, a new design for the numeral typography, and an ultra-thin caliber.

The Slim collection is destined to become a must-have for Hermès fans because of its harmony and legitimacy. Indeed, the shape of the case shows a new approach to volume, which fits perfectly with the brand’s high-end watchmaking standards.

The caliber, which was developed by Vaucher Manufacture, is also special because of its low height thanks to winding by a micro rotor. Finally, the Hermès aesthetic touch is clearly visible through the new font and the design executed by graphic designer Philippe Apeloig.

The new Slim case is now also in use for the Métiers d'Art models. And this year, Hermès collaborated with a Japanese craftsman specialized in painting on ceramic called Master Buzan Fukushima. Don't miss our special interview with him.
